Behncke and Eken has since early 2013 worked collaboratively making ‘Hit and Run’ printmaking in public spaces – e.g. they find a wood stump in a forest or a public park or (as in this instance) a piece of driftwood in East River State Park in New York City and they make a limited edition of prints in situ - always leaving the original carving/print plate behind.
